‘Tis the season to start collecting pumpkins in anticipation of creating your ghoulish Halloween Jack O’Lanterns.
Instead of picking up a few bright orange gourds at your local Safeways or Fred Meyer, consider heading out to a local farm and making a day of it! You can browse through the pumpkin patches, take a tractor ride, wind your way around a corn maze, drink hot apple cider, and support your local farmers. Many times they will have great varieties to add dazzle to your collection– large or small, heirloom or traditional.
