Wallingford Wurst Festival 2011

The Great Wallingford Wurst Festival 2011

It’s time yet again for that time-honored fall tradition: gorging on sausage and doing the polka. This can best be done at the Wurst Festival, held at St. Benedict School in the heart of Wallingford.

Things get started on Friday, September 16 at 5:00 pm, when the food vendors man their windows and the live outdoor music begins. The kids will have fun in the bouncing castles and other obstacle-course games, and adults are sure to enjoy the indoor beer garden.

Local crafters will be selling their creations, the used book room will be stocked with treasures, and the sweet shop will be the icing on the cake (literally). The festivities run until 10:00 pm on Friday (midnight for the beer garden) and continue on Saturday from 11 am to 10 pm.

If you’re of age, plan on hitting the indoor music stage on Friday at 9 to hear one of Seattle’s greatest cover bands, The Dudley Manlove Quartet. That’s two cool things to do in Seattle in one!
