When Mother Nature decides to change seasons, she does not fool around. For those of us in the Pacific Northwest, we know winter has finally retreated and spring is well on her way when the very popular and annual Skagit Valley Tulip Festival pops up on our calendars. And, the festival and all its gorgeous tulips bursting with color is about to sprout! From April 1-30, folks from all around the Puget Sound region as well as the 50 states and from more than 85 countries across the globe will descend upon the tulip fields in Skagit Valley to behold a truly magnificent sight.
For those not in the know, the tulip festival is designed as a driving tour, as there are participating fields spanning good distances throughout the valley. In addition to the many fields of flowers you can take in, there will be special events and activities sprinkled throughout the month in honor of the festival. And, if you’re an avid photographer, there is a photo contest, as well – so don’t miss out on your chance to make your own lasting impression!
Here’s to safe travels and many happy moments amongst the bountiful and beautiful tulips!
