My bet is that more tourists to Seattle know about Waterfall Garden Park than those who actually live here – which is probably true almost anywhere tourists flock. Located between Pioneer Square and the International District, Waterfall Garden Park is this remarkable little oasis amid the hub-bub of the city. Oddly, the sound of the water crashing onto the rocks provides just the right amount of ambient noise to banish the din of the outside world, even if it is for just a few minutes. Surrounded by tables, it’s a great place to catch a quick break with coffee in hand, or linger longer over a late lunch. And, for the history buff, the park is situated on the original site of the first United Parcel Service (UPS) office.
