Oenophiles, your summer event is coming up at the 20th annual Washington Wines Festival on July 7-9, 2011, celebrating the many wonderful wineries in Washington State. The event takes place in Seattle, the Eastside, Red Mountain and Walla Walla, so no matter where you happen to be, there should be some fun events happening.
Thursday begins with Winemaker Dinners at a variety of restaurants and private homes. Some of the area’s top chefs are paired with top winemakers for an unforgettable evening of food and wine. On Friday, the festival contineus at the Olympic Sculpture Park, with 2010 barrel sampling from 14 of Washington’s best producers, plus a live DJ and silent auction. The main event happens on Saturday at the Bell Harbor Maritime Events Center, features a BBQ dinner, dancing, and wine tasting from over 60 wineries. In addition, John Curley will host a live auction of a variety of wine-related packages.
Get your tickets now, and plan in advance if you plan to hit the charter flights to Walla Walla or Red Mountain.
