Madrona is somewhat of a mystery. You’ve probably heard about it, but have you ever been there, much less know where it is? This weekend is a primo time to go explore this quaint yet vibrant old-school neighborhood of Seattle.
Very Merry in Madrona happens this Friday and Saturday, December 2-3, 2011. Friday begins with extended holiday shopping hours. The main event on Saturday has lots of fun for all ages – hot cider & cocoa, free wine tasting, kids activities, and live music. They have awesome local businesses and restaurants that line 34th Ave.
To get a feel for what it would be like to live here, you can tour 14 open houses of area homes that are currently for sale on both Friday and Saturday.
And at 8:45 PM on Saturday, a candlelight walk from 34th & Union to the lake for a bonfire and welcoming of the holiday ships at 9:25.
A full schedule can be viewed on their Facebook site.
Get out and celebrate (and find) Madrona!
