Most likely, if you live in any Seattle neighborhood, you’ve probably received a blue plastic bag in your mail. But, before you get upset that someone is going around mailing you a plastic bag, take a closer look. This little blue bag represents hope and food for a lot of hungry people in Western Washington.
All you need to do is fill up the bag with non-perishable food and set it by your mailbox before 8AM this Saturday, May 11th. Your friendly neighborhood postal carrier will pick it up and make sure it gets to Food Lifeline, Western Washington’s largest hunger relief agency. They in turn will distribute the food out to a local food bank in Western Washington.
Why not take part in the nation’s largest, one-day food drive? What an easy way to do something good for someone else!
