Sounders FC vs Manchester United – Seattle Things to Do #258

by on July 17, 2011

Seattle soccer fans have been having fun lately supporting the Sounders, who have extended their unbeaten streak to nine matches with a win against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday. They are taking a break from MLS league play on Wednesday, with a “friendly” match against Manchester United at Qwest (or should I say CenturyLink) Field.

Manchester United is like the New York Yankees or Dallas Cowboys of European soccer; a powerhouse team that is equally loved and loathed. The match will draw soccer fans throughout the region, and they are opening up the upper section of seating to take in the bigger crowd.

Kickoff is at 7PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 and tickets can still be purchased, but plan for a big crowd. Scarfs up!
