Things are looking brighter for the return of NBA basketball to Seattle (and maybe NHL too). Plans, investors and money are lined up to build a new arena in SoDo, and now the arena decision is in the hands of the City Council and King County Council. There is a rally in Pioneer Square tomorrow (June 14) at 4PM to show support for bringing the Sonics back to Seattle.
Should be a great time for b-ball fans, with Sonic legends like Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton and Detlef Schrempf in attendance. There will also be music from Presidents of the United States of America and others, plus food trucks and a number of local radio stations broadcasting from the rally.
