You don’t have to be an adult to appreciate a good stage production, which is why today’s Thing To Do is to catch a play at Seattle Children’s Theater. With the specific goal of exposing children of all ages to high-quality performances, the staff produces several different plays throughout the season that range from the classic (who doesn’t love Go Dog Go by Dr. Suess?) to the innovative–puppetry, one-man acts, and so on.
Know a kid that prefers to be in the spotlight, rather than watching someone else shine? That’s fine, too, because the theater also offers drama classes to channel the creative energy of youngsters. You can even bring a whole slew of ’em, for a birthday party/acting lesson! (In case you were wondering, I didn’t see an age limit in the fine print.)
