One of the two major highlights of Seafair Weekend, the Albert Lee Cup features the world’s fastest racing boats. These boats race at speeds of 130 MPH- 200+ MPH and are known as hydroplanes because the are essentially a wing that flies over the water when it gets up to speed.
Maybe you’ve got well-heeled friends with lakefront homes on Lake Washington to enjoy the races, or you can just head to Genesee Park. The park will feature a variety of food vendors, a beer garden and a live entertainment stage. There will also be a variety of exhibits and activities, like flight simulators, climbing walls and a kids zone to keep them busy with inflatable rides, jumpers and games.
