Things are about to get way cooler down on Seattle’s waterfront with the construction and opening of the new Pier 57 Ferris Wheel. Housed on the same pier as the carousel, arcade and several restaurants, the Ferris Wheel is set to open this June or July.
The wheel will offer views of Downtown Seattle, the waterfront, Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains from 200 feet in the air, in the comfort of enclosed (heated & air-conditioned) capsules. Some of the 42 gondolas will also be glass-bottomed and all will pass 40 feet over Elliott Bay when in motion.
The Ferris Wheel will be a nice addition to our skyline, don’t you think? Can’t wait!
