Coming in April to Seattle’s Experience Music Project is a special exhibit about Seattle grunge rock luminaries, Nirvana. The exhibit is titled Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses and begins April 16, 2011 and will run for two years.
Formed in nearby Aberdeen, Washington, Nirvana was the biggest break out success of the Seattle grunge rock scene. This exhibit will feature rare and unseen artifacts from the band, their crews and their families. Apparently they even have the yellow cardigan that Kurt Cobain wore frequently between 1991-1994, along a number of intact and smashed musical instruments from the band.
Looks like the EMP is going to smell like teen spirit for a couple of years.
