Aviation and Seattle have a long history together, with Seattle being the birthplace of Boeing. Located near Boeing Field, The Museum of Flight is one of the largest air and space museums in the world. If you like airplanes, spacecraft or the gutsy history of man’s quests for flight, this is the place to go.
The collection of aircraft and spacecraft at the museum is pretty amazing. You can catch a glimpse of the Concorde, check out the interior of Air Force One, or even climb into the cockpit of a SR-71A Blackbird, the fastest piloted jet ever built. Personally I find the historic aircraft even more fascinating, as you can imagine some of the daredevils who originally piloted these craft.
