King Tut

King Tut – Seattle Things to Do #526

by on May 20, 2012

King Tut is coming back to Seattle! (Previously seen here in 1978.)

Artifacts from his tomb will be on display at Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs exhibit at Pacific Science Center starting this May. The exhibit will feature over 100 objects from both King Tut’s tomb, as well as ancient sites from other rulers throughout 2,000 years of Egyptian history. Statues, furniture, jewelry and ceremonial items – including the boy king’s golden sandals found covering the feet of his mummified remains – will all be on display.

The IMAX films showing at that time will pair nicely with the exhibit:

Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs
Mysteries of Egypt

This is the last time these objects will be on display in North America as a grouping – make plans to attend!
