Summer in Seattle means that one of the more unique movie theaters in town is now open. A cheap and fun way to spend a Saturday night, the Fremont Outdoor Cinema project movies on a giant outdoor screen against the wall of a building in Fremont.
The movie season begins on June 25, 2011, with a screening of the zombie flick Shaun of the Dead. Following weekends feature cinematic classics like Anchorman, Twilight, Princess Bride and Clockwork Orange. You can get your tickets ahead of time, and the movies are BYOC (bring your own chair) and BYOP (bring your own picnic). It is not unusual for people to bring their own bed!
Depending on the flick, you may also want to bust out your costumes, particularly for zombie flicks or The Big Lebowski.
