The 4th of July in Seattle means some of the nations most impressive fireworks in one of the most picturesque settings of any major city. The fireworks are launched from a barge on Lake Union, just north of downtown Seattle, so the fireworks are set against a backdrop of downtown Seattle and the Space Needle.
The best vantage point is from Gas Works Park, where thousands gather every year for the Family 4th. The park opens today at noon, along with the family activities, live music and food vendors throughout the park. Fireworks are set to being around 10PM.
Of course Gas Works Park isn’t the only vantage point. Essentially any spot from around the shores of Lake Union will be an excellent spot to take in the show. And like clockwork, Seattle’s summer weather seems to have arrived today as promised, so get out there and enjoy the day!
