Have you always dreamed of “swinging through the air with the greatest of ease?” I randomly drove by this place last week, and was stunned to find out that you can watch and LEARN to be a trapeze artist right in Seattle’s SODO district! Emerald City Trapeze, Seattle’s home for the aerial arts has an 11,000 square foot studio called the Aerialdrome with a full-on trapeze setup, stage, trampolines and strobe lighting.
Reading through the list of classes that they offer is mind-blowing,compared to the normal workout routines that most of us have. Classes with names like Flying Trapeze, Circus Taster, Lyra/Hoop and Tissu/Fabric/Silk will bring out the aspiring circus performer in you, plus get you quite a workout in the process.
I don’t know about you, but I prefer to enjoy the acrobatic arts from ground level. They offer plenty of opportunities to view performances and shows, such as their upcoming Mardi Gras at the Aerialdome show on March 11.
