Seattle drivers may wonder why the I-90 floating bridge keeps closing this weekend, but if they look up, it is because the US Navy Blue Angels will be flying in formation right above them.
One of the highlights of Seafair Weekend, the Boeing Air Show is best know for the high-precision flying and acrobatic maneuvers of the Blue Angels fighter jets. The air show also features a number of acrobatic flyers in bi-planes, historic plane fly-overs, some large jets, and even a search and rescue demonstration from a Coast Guard helicopter.
Performances are Friday, August 5 – Sunday, August 7, 2011 on Lake Washington. You can buy tickets for the official venue at Genesee Park, but if you’ve got friends who live around the southern part of Lake Washington, maybe enjoying the Blue Angels from a BBQ at their house is in order.
