Magnolia in Washington Park Arboretum

Arboretum weekend walks – Seattle Things to Do #491

by on April 15, 2012

With spring in the air, it is always a good time for a walk through the Washington Park Arboretum. If you are looking for something a little more educational, check out their free weekend walks, with 90 minute tours led by knowledgeable docents.

Each month they’ll choose a different theme to talk about. Maybe it is the inner workings of a flower and pollination, or maybe learn what’s happening in the soil at this time of year. Perhaps you just want a guide to lead you to some amazing blooming plants. No matter which month you choose, you’re sure to learn a thing or two on this relaxing walk.

The arboretum weekend walks happen the first and third Sundays of each month, are 90 minutes long and leave from the Graham Visitors Center.
